Golden Gate - Clubbing under the metro tracks

What?
Golden Gate is a club close to Alexanderplatz. To get there, take the U8 and get out at Jannowitzbrücke. The club is hidden underneath the metro tracks and if you have never been here it takes a while to find the entrance

Where?
Schicklerstraße 4

What kind of music do they play here?
Proper pumping, rolling techno. Which makes it a bit easier to find your way in: if you have no clue where the entrance is, just close your eyes and follow the beat!

Why should you go there? The music is really good (if you love techno, that is..) and the atmosphere is in general always good. There is a small chillout area and enough space to dance as well. Even though the club is quite small, you can easily spend a long night here, and dance until sunrise!

Why should you not go there?
The toilets are on the second floor, above the dance floor. I once was there when they were clogged and we were standing directly underneath them on the dancefloor – let me tell you that it wasn’t pretty. Hopefully this doesn’t happen too often ;-) One other minus point is that the bouncers are – even for Berlin standards - VERY unfriendly. They have an incomprehensible door policy and thus there’s a big chance that you’ll get rejected. But, once you’re inside, it’s definitely worth the effort!
